Introduced 9 December 2009, War Packs provided a means to acquire special units previously available through War Chips Special purchases.
Commander Pack[]
Twelve Commanders are available as a random selection, giving an 8% chance for any single Commander for 40 War Chips. Commanders are changed periodically in this pack as new Commanders are made available for Special War Chip Purchase.

Five Infantry Units are available in the Infantry Pack, giving a 20% chance on a single unit when purchased for 20 War Chips. Three draws may be purchased simultaneously for 55 War Chips, giving a chance at receiving three of one particular of unit or a chance to receive three different units on a single purchase.

On or about 18 November 2010, six new Units have been made available in the Power Pack, giving a 16% chance on a single unit when purchased for 25 War Chips. Three draws may be purchased simultaneously for 70 War Chips, giving a chance to receive multiples of five of these units.

Rage Pack[]
About April 2011, six new units were made available in the Rage Pack, giving a 16% chance on a single unit when purchased for 25 War Chips. Three draws may be purchased simultaneously for 70 War Chips, giving a chance to receive multiples of five of these units.

- War Packs were originally introduced as a single group with random draw from a collection of Commanders, Assault Units, and Structures. Later the War Packs were redesigned to specific groupings; groupings used include Commander Pack, Infantry Pack, Aerial Pack, Armored Pack, and Naval Pack.
- With the introduction of War Metal: Tyrant, Molok was renamed to Moloch and Grotesque to Groteske.
